Freedom To The Nations Ministries was born from a divine vision given to our founder, Jessica Z. Maldonado, at the tender age of five. Holding her father’s hand at an intersection, he asked, “Honey, what would you like to be when you grow up?” Looking up, Jessica saw herself as an adult in safari attire, kneeling before a line of wounded children in a rural African village. Their wounds were bandaged with dirty rags, and she was there, healing their diseases. In that moment, she whispered, “I want to be a healer.”
In 2008, during a season of seeking God’s direction, the Lord called Jessica into full-time ministry. He gave her the name Freedom To The Nations and imparted the mandate of Isaiah 61:1–3:
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners…”
This calling has guided our ministry’s mission: to empower, encourage, and equip the Body of Christ in fulfilling their Kingdom mandate. Through preaching, healing, deliverance, and prophetic ministry, we aim to bring the tangible presence of the Holy Spirit to those we serve.
Our founder’s journey from a childhood vision to global ministry is a testament to God’s faithfulness and the transformative power of His calling. At Freedom To The Nations, we are committed to continuing this mission, bringing hope and healing to nations around the world.
